Delete your UNBND account and data
Last updated 20 September 2026
This page is for UNBND, the career-fair virtual queue app. Delete your account in the app, or request deletion by email. Some records and copies can remain; the limits are explained below.
The fast way, in the app
Open UNBND → Account (top right) → Delete account.
The app first shows you exactly what will be removed — your active tickets, and, if you own companies or organise fairs, those and the queues attached to them. After you confirm, the app processes deletion without a manual review queue. On success, you are signed out. This removes your account and associated app records, subject to the exceptions below. If you see an error, contact support. You do not need to email separately for a successful in-app request.
If you cannot open the app
Uninstalled it, lost the device, or cannot sign in? Email a deletion request instead.
Send your request to
Email deletion requestSend it from the email address you use to sign in to UNBND. You will never be asked for your password, and you do not need to reinstall the app.
No email app on this device?
The button above only works if an email app is set up here. If nothing happens when you tap it, send the message yourself from any email account — webmail in a browser, another device, anything. Copy the three parts below.
1. Send to
gucciyd248@gmail.com
2. Subject
UNBND account deletion request
3. Message
App: UNBND I am requesting deletion of my UNBND account and all data associated with it. Account email (the address I use to sign in to UNBND): Display name in the app (optional):
Fill in the account email, then send. If you cannot send from the account's own address, send it anyway and say so in the message — support will need to verify that you own the account before deleting it. Do not send passwords or identity documents with your request.
What happens next with an emailed request
- Your request arrives at the support inbox.
- Support replies to confirm the request and verify account ownership. Send from your account’s email address if possible. You will never be asked for your password.
- Once you confirm, the account and its data are deleted.
- You get a final email confirming it is done.
Emailed requests are handled by one person, not an automated system. Deletion is completed within 90 days of your confirmed request. If you have not heard anything, reply to your own email to bump it. The 90-day window applies to emailed requests, not the in-app process.
Deletion is permanent. Queue tickets, history, your headshot and your display name cannot be restored afterwards, and a new account started with the same email address begins empty.
What gets deleted
- Your sign-in account: email address and password hash.
- Your profile: display name, role, major, the link to your headshot, and the account creation date.
- Your headshot image file: account deletion attempts to remove it from storage. A failed photo removal is logged but not automatically retried, and does not stop account deletion. If its public link still works after deletion, email support to request removal.
- Every queue ticket belonging to you, with its full history — booths joined, ticket numbers, and the times you were called, checked in, cancelled or expired.
- Your row in every recruiter's student list, and every star any recruiter gave you. You disappear from their list and their next export.
- Push notification tokens for your devices, and any notification still queued or logged for you.
- If you are a recruiter: your membership of every booth you belong to, and the stars you gave students.
- If you are an organizer or a company owner: the fairs, companies and booths you created — and, because queue tickets belong to a booth, the tickets students hold at those booths. If you organized a fair other people still rely on, coordinate with them before deleting. The app shows you this count before you confirm.
- If you called, checked in or talked to students as a recruiter, their tickets survive you — the record simply stops naming which recruiter it was.
What is kept, and for how long
- Sign-in security records. The authentication service keeps an audit log of authentication events, such as sign-ups and sign-ins, and those entries can still contain the email address they belonged to after the account itself is gone. They are not visible to other users. No fixed retention period has been verified. Ask support to review these entries for manual removal in your deletion request. Hosting-provider API, auth, and function logs can also contain IP addresses; their retention is plan-dependent and has not been verified.
- Backups. Deleted data may remain in hosting-provider backups until they expire. The backup configuration and retention period have not been verified, so there is no promised backup deletion deadline.
- Anything a recruiter already exported. Recruiters can export their student list, including email addresses, as a CSV file to their own device. A file exported before you deleted your account is outside UNBND's reach and is not deleted. Ask that employer directly if you want it removed.
- Your deletion request itself. The emails you and the support address exchange stay in the inbox as the record that the request was made and carried out. Ask if you want that thread deleted too once the deletion is finished.
- Service-provider records and downloaded photos. Notification providers may retain delivery metadata under their own policies. UNBND cannot remove copies of a headshot already downloaded by someone else.
Smaller changes you might want instead
- Just remove your photo: Account → Change photo → Remove photo.
- Just stop notifications: turn off the notification permission for UNBND in your device settings.
- Just sign out: Account → Sign out. Your account stays as it is.
Your role cannot be changed. Deleting the account and creating a new one is the only way to switch between student, recruiter and organizer.
